Continent 8 joins Choose New Jersey to promote NJ i-gaming

As announced at ICE last year Continent 8 Technologies opened the first Continent 8 branded data centre in New Jersey in 2014.

From the centre in Atlantic City, Continent 8 supplies a full range of offerings to the market. The Atlantic City data centre links into Continent 8’s global private backbone with diverse links into northern New Jersey and New York and onward in to Canada and Europe, allowing customers to link back into other markets and locations from which they operate.

Following the decision to locate its first North American data centre in New Jersey, Continent 8 has formed a strategic working relationship with Choose New Jersey, an economic development organisation that provides assistance to companies interested in locating or expanding in New Jersey.

The strategic relationship, which was formed during the establishment of Continent 8’s new data centre in New Jersey, is likely to spur growth in the online gaming industry as a whole; Continent 8’s data centre, officially opened in May 2014, will provide technology infrastructure within the state for Atlantic City’s online gaming industry.

“New Jersey offers a powerful combination of assets for business in North America, including a perfect location in the north-eastern US and one of the most extensive broadband networks in the nation,” said Michael Chrobak, Choose New Jersey’s chief economic development officer.

“The opening of Continent 8 Technologies’ world-class data centre provides another valuable resource for e-gaming companies looking to locate or expand in New Jersey.”

Michael Tobin, co-founder and CEO, Continent 8 Technologies, said: “We chose New Jersey because it is the hub of i-gaming in the US and the state is providing support through Choose New Jersey to assist business investment in the state. “Partnering with Choose New Jersey promotes doing business in tICE-Daily-2015---Day-2---coverhe state not just in the i-gaming sector but in the technology sector in general.

Chrobak, along with Choose New Jersey’s economic development manager, Jessica Paolini, will be available at Continent 8’s stand throughout ICE to answer questions about doing business in New Jersey.

“We’re thrilled to join Continent 8 at ICE this year,” said Chrobak. “It’s a great opportunity for us to connect with i-gaming companies and spread the word that New Jersey is a great place for business.”
