For the second year running, Continent 8 Technologies won “Technology Supplier of the Year” at the International Gaming Awards. The award ceremony, now in its 5th year, was held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London on the eve of the ICE Totally Gaming Expo at London’s Earls Court.
The company again defeated stiff competition from the other nominees, including Cable and Wireless, Chartwell, EGT, Evolution Gaming, Gaming Laboratories International, GEO Networks, GTECH G2, Intralot Interactive, and Playtech plc to pick up this coveted award. The award was accepted by Michael Tobin and Jay Stubina, co-founders of Continent 8.
In awarding the company the judges commented that “Continent 8 raced ahead this year of its competition. The firm should hold their head up high and bask in pride knowing that their recognised footprint within gaming is appreciated by the people to whom it matters the most.”
Michael Tobin, CEO and co-founder of Continent 8 Technologies, said: “We are pleasantly surprised to win the award considering the quality of our competition. It is a testimony to our team and technological expertise.”
This award comes six months after the company won eGaming Review’s Data Centre of the Year for the second consecutive year, as well.
