Continent 8 Technologies scooped another accolade when it won Technology Supplier of the Year at the International Gaming Awards. The awards dinner was held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel on 24 January 2011 in support of Care International and Children with Leukaemia charity.
The awards, now in its 4th year, were held the night before the annual ICE exhibition and were attended by key people from the gaming industry, both landbased and the online sector.
The company fought off stiff competition from the other nominees, which included Playtech, 3M Touch Systems, Bally Technologies, Evolution Gaming and Iovation Inc. to pick up this coveted award. The award was accepted by Michael Tobin and Jay Stubina, co-founders of Continent 8.
Michael Tobin, CEO and co-founder of Continent 8 Technologies, said: “to receive this award is great recognition for the work the company has done in the industry, it is even more so because the award was voted for by our peers in the online gaming sector. Continent 8 continues to develop products specifically to meet our customer’s requirements in this demanding industry. In addition to product development, we continue to work closely with regulators across the world.”
Continent 8 was among good company on the winner’s rostrum, other winners on the evening included Playtech, Party Gaming, Betfair, PKR, Harrah’s and Macau’s City of Dreams.
