New Jersey licensed Continent 8 Technologies, the world’s largest online gambling data center and global network solutions provider, is expanding its capacity in Atlantic City – anticipating Governor Phil Murphy signing the sports-betting bill recently passed in the New Jersey Legislature. During the Governor’s scheduled keynote address at the upcoming East Coast Gaming Forum (June 13-14) in Atlantic City, Murphy will undoubtedly address the new law and the future of gaming.
Continent 8 has been supporting clients in Atlantic City since 2014 and increases data center and network capacity to meet the growing needs of the online gaming industry, as required. In addition to supporting online gambling, sports betting, and eSports vendors in New Jersey, Continent 8 will soon go live in Pennsylvania and Nevada.
“The repealing of PASPA accelerated the demand for IT infrastructure solutions that fit the unique needs of online gaming and also meet online gaming licensing requirements,” said Michael Tobin, CEO of Continent 8. “We are responding to those needs immediately with further infrastructure expansion in Atlantic City. We will strengthen this expansion again this coming July by adding another location with full redundancy and complete disaster recovery capability.”
“As the only independent IT provider licensed by New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement to supply both data center and network services to online gambling licensees, Continent 8 is well positioned to be the leader in connecting, managing, and securing critical data associated with the online gaming industry,” said Nick Nally, Chief Development Officer for Continent 8. “By adding significant capacity in Atlantic City, we can definitely support clients seeking to capture the market opportunity presented as a result of the PASPA repealing.”
This additional capacity being deployed is connected to over 30 other Continent 8 locations around the world. These locations all feature state-of-the-art managed services such as detecting and mitigating DDoS attacks that can be disastrous to online gaming. It will also provide a worldwide network for gaming companies to expand globally with private connectivity to existing established European and Asian operators, payment providers, software companies, and back-office systems in other licensed jurisdictions unlike any other company.
