Continent 8 is proud to sponsor the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) Winter Meeting, happening in beautiful New Orleans January 4-6, 2019. More than 200 attendees, including dozens of state legislators, are expected to attend.
Covering topics ranging from historical horse racing to newly-legalized sports betting, the Winter Meeting connects policymakers and gaming influencers on the future of gaming in the United States. “With four states having implemented sports betting and several more planning to do so in 2019, legislators and regulators have real-world examples to create new sports-betting schemes – or modify the ones they have… examine the current best practices and suggest how they may be improved.”
The conference agenda includes:
- Keynote Luncheon Address from former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, whose arguments before the Supreme Court resulted in overturning the federal prohibition on sports betting
